Prentiss Cabin

Prentiss Architects :: San Juan Island :: Date Finished: 1984
This waterfront cabin, built in the mid 1980’s for architect Geoff Prentiss and his two brothers, is located on the southeast side of San Juan Island.
Ravenhill owner Peter Kilpatrick enjoyed the timber frame work and the challenging exposed concrete fireplace. All the multi-paned windows, over 200 panes of glass, were made in the Ravenhill shop.
The Prentiss cabin was the first of our projects to be published, coming out in both Fine Home Building and Sunset magazines. It received an Award of Merit in Sunset Magazine’s 1987-88 Western Home of the Year Awards.
